Peer Review For Canterbury Schools Reinstatement

Ministry of Education (MoE) self-insures for normal risks, but the Canterbury earthquake is not normal.

Private insurers have appointed Fraser Thomas as “Peer Reviewer” for the reinstatement proposals prepared by MoE’s engineers, on numerous school sites, (large and small) in the greater Christchurch area.

This work is widespread, demanding and ongoing.

The damage is extensive, and the remedial work challenging.

These photos show examples of the building damage at these school sites.
