Fraser Thomas completed detailed design, consenting, tendering during 2014 which included a major rescoping of the project due to budget cuts. The contract was awarded in January 2015 and we provided the construction observation/project management for the construction works that commenced in February 2015 for the first stage of works that included 240 car parks. In 2018 we were involved with the preliminary design and scoping for construction of a stadium for a large motorsport entity that was looking to take over a section of the park. These works involved completion of the Auckland Council car parks, earthworks, and stormwater system design. In 2019 Fraser Thomas undertook detailed design for the second stage of car parks, which involved design for an additional 260 car parks. We tendered out the project and provided observation and project management services. Construction of these car parks began in late 2019 and was completed in February 2020. Stage 3 design to finish the remaining 466 car parks was completed in October 2020 for resource consent application.
