Recent projects have included:

  • Mixed Use Development – Airport Oaks, Mangere. Design of 130m2 of rain gardens, with assorted swales and permeable paving to treat runoff from a 1.0ha site. The site was limited by its flat topography, an irregular shape and multiple buildings in the development, thus requiring low impact management of stormwater. Rain gardens were the preferred approach as these utilised natural biological processes of soils and plants for filtration and could be incorporated as landscaping features on the site.

    • Residential Subdivision – Stratford Road, Manurewa. Design of a stormwater planter box to service a 5-lot residential housing development. This site was constrained for soakage and available area for treatment, resulting in use of a common planter box device in place of individual stormwater treatment measures at each lot.
