COVID-19 Level 2 & 3 Operations – Field/Site Work to Continue

COVID-19 Level 2 & 3 Operations – Field/Site Work to Continue

Following the February 14th announcement that New Zealand will move into COVID-19 Alert Levels 2 and 3, Fraser Thomas would like to confirm that we will continue to be open for business as usual.

We have developed a COVID-19 Alert Level 3 Operations Policy that sets out stringent protocols for all field investigations and site work to comply with government recommendations. It also addresses safe working practices within our offices and very strict hygiene protocols for staff that need to be there to do their work.

While staff in our Auckland offices (working under Level 3 requirements) who are able to work from home are doing so, this does not mean your project is put on hold.  Our engineers and surveyors, including those not based in the office, are still undertaking field investigations and site work so long as these can accommodate the requirements for working under Level 2 or 3, such as physical distancing and/or use of PPE clothing. We can progress many projects by conducting much of our field work such as site investigations, topographical surveys, geotechnical and contaminated land investigations and construction monitoring, that is essential to the construction sector.

If you have any questions about your projects please contact the relevant staff member, or if your inquiry is of a general nature, please email us at [email protected]

Operations at our Christchurch, Napier and Blenheim offices will continue under COVID Level 2 requirements.
