10 Nov New Four Square for Rural Town
When the main contractor, Scott Construction, was awarded this exciting project, they contacted Fraser Thomas to join their design team to carry out the full concept and detailed civil engineering design, and undertake construction observation and certification, for the proposed Four Square Murchison development. This included stormwater and wastewater drainage, water supply reticulation, and pavement design for the accessways and parking areas. We worked closely with Arthouse Architects and Scott Construction throughout the process to ensure smooth coordination and completion of the project well ahead of schedule.
The 1849m² site was previously occupied by a café, subsequently demolished, and has now transformed into the first brand-new Four Square in the South Island in 4 years. The new store includes dedicated loading zones, customer parking, landscaped areas, and a purpose-built accessway to support the needs of the growing Murchison community.
