19 May Star Golfing Geologist
Fraser Thomas takes an active role in nurturing our young professionals into competent geologists and engineers, but we also take a proactive approach with assisting our staff to exceed in their extra mural activities.
As a Geologist, Cameron Lee has over 5 years’ experience, having graduated University in 2017, and gaining valuable knowledge in the engineering industry in the Bay of Plenty and Auckland. Recently, following an outstanding performance at the Muriwai Golf open after Easter, our Auckland based Engineering Geologist, took part in the 2023 Auckland/North Island Stroke Play championship at the Pakuranga Golf Club on 12 to 14 May 2023.
Cameron, playing out of the Windross Farm Golf Course, and supported by his father/caddy, Graeme, mixed it with the best over the three-day Pakuranga event, shooting 6 over and even, resulting in him finishing in the top 48 players, and qualifying for the third day. Shooting one over for the final round, he was able to, “tap it in”, for a combined total of 220 shots, finishing 25th overall, in a field of 143.
Fraser Thomas are excited to support Cameron in his golfing endeavours and celebrate in his awesome achievements, with the Auckland geotechnical team enjoying a day walking the course with Cameron and watching all the action!!
